Looking back exactly one year ago today, to Jo and Zac’s lovely wedding at St Peter’s Church Bournemouth. Happy anniversary! From the fun of the Bridal preparations, to the grandeur of the Church ceremony, to the VW Camper down by the beach and the laughter of the reception and the party – this was a day to remember.
I’ve known Jo’s Mum for many years and was delighted when she got in touch and asked me to meet up with them to discuss their wedding. When you meet couples for the first time you get “vibes” about them and how they feel about each other. For Jo and Zac the vibe was “love”. You could see it in the way they acted with each other, what they said and the way they said it, I could tell that this was going to be a great day. And it was.
A day full of little treasures. Like the moment when the Vicar asked if there was any reason they should not marry ……
Zac’s Brother (who was the Best Man) is an Army officer and was in full dress uniform. When the Vicar asked the question, his Brother spun around to face the guests, snapped his heels together (which echoed through the silence of the Church) and partially drew his ceremonial sword! Seems it’s an Army tradition, and who in their right mind would say anything if they’re being threatened by a soldier wielding a sword? A great moment and one that brought laughter from everyone. 🙂
As I said, this was a great day and here’s a small slideshow to bring back the memories. So kick off your shoes and take a peek at their special day. Happy anniversary xx
