Love looking back at my Bournemouth Beach Weddings!
Hardly seems possible that we’re into another year and I’m still catching up on Blogging about my 2014 weddings! Sarah and Andy are a terrific couple and we had great fun on their engagement shoot in Swanage earlier in the year. So obviously in love and so relaxed. We’d chatted over a coffee in the Spring sunshine looking out across Swanage Bay. Sarah talked about the details she was planning and the wedding dress that she and her Mum were making. They told me how they’d met and how Andy proposed. Why they chose to have their wedding at Beach Weddings Bournemouth. Getting to know your clients – that’s what it’s about.
Sarah and her Bridesmaids got ready at the Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott, which just has to be be the closest spot for couples to stay when getting married on the beach! Just a few steps out of the hotel, down the cliff-lift and then you’re on the beach – what could be easier? Sarah’s dress (which, as I mentioned, she made with her Mum) looked stunning and totally suited her. Beautiful family heirlooms provided the finishing touches to her outfit. Sarah’s hair and make-up were done by the “talented twosome”, Laura and Tara, who I’ve worked with on numerous weddings, so I know the Bride’s always going to look at her best! 🙂 Sarah’s three stunning Bridesmaids looked wonderful in their Blue dresses, reflecting the style of Sarah’s dress.
Then it was down onto the beach, the pink and blue flags lining the walkway as the Bridal party made its way to the marquee, where Andy was waiting pensively! The wedding flowers, both in Sarah’s bouquet and at the venue were from Arcade Flowers, and looked gorgeous.
It was certainly a “full-house” in the marquee, with family and friends seated either side of the petal-lined aisle.
After the ceremony it was time to spread out on the beach for the drinks reception, whilst the magnificent BWB team were arranging the marquee for the wedding breakfast. Food, as always, was delicious, courtesy of Matt from Fish Face Events! Have to admit that the speeches were very funny, especially when Andy was persuaded by his Best Man to resurrect their infamous dance moves whilst at Uni! 🙂
For the evening celebrations we moved to the end of Bournemouth Pier, to Key West. A stunning First Dance from Sarah and Andy wowed their guests – just brilliant. A fish and chip supper followed a Cèilidh and I have to admit that everyone was probably grateful for a rest as it was absolutely manic, but such fun! Always love a Cèilidh 🙂
Thanks Sarah and Andy, for letting me be a part of your day – it was fabulous xx
