Now that I have a brief respite from weddings (the season ended for me in mid-December and starts again in just a couple of weeks), it’s time for me to catch up on blogging some of last year’s lovely weddings from around Dorset. First up is the Tudor Grange Hotel wedding of Amelia and Sam.
From the first time that I met them, I knew that Amelia and Sam were very much in love. It’s a funny thing, being a wedding photographer – you get to meet lots of people and it never ceases to amaze me how different people can be when they’re engaged! The way in which they display (or don’t display) their love for one another. With Amelia and Sam there was just something, well ….. it’s difficult to put into words, but to me it was apparent that these two were absolutely made for each other! 🙂
They’d chosen the Tudor Grange Hotel in Bournemouth for their wedding, and, as the name indicates, it’s based on an original Tudor Mansion (from Berkshire). Oak panelling, stained glass windows and embossed ceilings – absolutely delightful and perfect for more intimate weddings.
I arrived at the hotel in the morning to find the girls being pampered by two of my favourite people, Laura and Tara. We always have a laugh when the three of us are at a wedding with the Bridal prep! Amelia’s room had a huge 4-poster bed in it, which was extremely soft – as I found out whilst I was lying on it and trying to get shots of the girls having their hair and make-up done (much to the amusement of everyone in the room!).
Amelia and Sam had set up a printer in the lobby, so that people could print their shots from the day, which was a really nice touch. They also had their own Twitter hashtag so everyone could share their pictures.
Their ceremony was crammed full of emotion and it was really touching to see those emotions openly on display, not just from Amelia and Sam but from family and friends.
Here are just a few images from their day, along with a small slideshow, so why not sit back, kick off your shoes and take a peek …
