The art of the wedding album

Although in which I shoot is primarily documentary wedding photography, I also shoot portraits of the Bride and Groom. There’s no getting away from the fact that weddings are about emotions. Tears, joy, sadness and everything in-between. It’s a unique day. Special to the two of you, your families and friends. Never again will all of those special people in your life be together in one place.

But, there’s another element. The fact that you’ll never spend as much on yourselves ever again to look good for one day! That’s why I believe it’s important that you should have some beautiful images of just the two of you. Photographs that you’ll look back on in 10, 20 or 30 years with your children and grand-children. Photographs that they’ll treasure as part of your family’s history. Combine these beautiful portraits with the emotional images of the events of your special day and you have the ultimate record of your special day. The first heirloom of your new life together.

The art of the wedding album

I’ve written articles and Blog posts before about the importance of your wedding photographs. Their true worth. Priceless. Therefore, doesn’t it make sense to keep them safe?

I’ll be writing a post shortly about digital images but today I want to concentrate on another medium. One that’s older. But still very valid. The wedding album.

Graphistudio Wedding Albums

There’s nothing that comes close to the feeling you get when viewing wedding photographs in an album. It’s real. It’s tactile. Printed photographs have much more impact than something viewed on a laptop or a TV screen. Photographs were meant to be printed. That’s how they started. The way in which we capture them has changed, but beautiful images deserve to be printed.

You can see more information about the Graphistudio wedding albums that I offer on this site. But I thought I’d also share a video with you. Produced by the Graphistudio team in Italy, it gives you an idea of the work that goes into creating the album that I design for you. A unique memento of your wedding day. I was fortunate enough to be able to visit the Graphistudio factory in Italy last year and it was a memorable experience. A company and it’s staff dedicated to providing fine art wedding albums that will stand the test of time. So kick back for a couple of minutes and see what happens behind the scenes!
