Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Liz and Nash’s wedding at The Italian Villa in Poole. It may have been grey and drizzly, but that didn’t stop anyone from enjoying themselves. With guests from Italy and Africa it was certainly a cosmopolitan affair.
Organised by Melani Kiani from Bellissimo Weddings, the day run smoothly. Liz looked beautiful in her gorgeous silk wedding dress. With Laura in charge of the hair, and Tara the makeup there was never any doubt this lovely lady would look stunning! Gorgeous blooms from Arcade Flowers filled the venue, a true riot of colour. Simon was in charge of videoing the day’s events and we made a great team – always anticipating where the other would need to be for their respective shot.
No sneak peeks I’m afraid, as the couple will be first to see the images. But you’ll see some in a few weeks – promise!
Did I mention Reggae? Liz and Nash hired a great Reggae band, who immediately had everyone up on the dance floor. Great music, atmosphere and fun. Then something unexpected happened. Nash’s Dad was invited up to jam with the group. With Dad on guitar, Nash (who’s a pretty mean musician himself) joined in the fun and drums. Wow, can this Father and Son combo play! They brought the house down, quite literally and it was a real pleasure to be part of such a special moment.
All in all, a pretty special day 🙂
