Bournemouth and Poole wedding photographer – engagement shoot
A few weeks ago I headed on down to one of my favourite locations for engagement shoots – the lovely Sandbanks peninsula in Poole, Dorset. Even when the weather’s cold or blustery there’s always somewhere to shoot, and engagement shoots are a great way for my wedding couples to get used to relaxing in front of the camera – it makes things so much easier on their wedding day!
Paula and Dan are getting married tomorrow at the elegant Cafe Shore in Sandbanks, and seeing as how Dan proposed just a mile from there it seemed an obvious location for their engagement photographs! We started the session at Cafe Shore because it was a cold but bright morning, and I love a good cup of coffee! Suitably warmed, we ventured out down to the beach for a few shots, then back under cover (away from the chill wind) and then finally up to Evening Hill, which is the place where Dan actually proposed.
I’m really looking forward to their wedding at Cafe Shore tomorrow as it’s a lovely wedding venue set on the shoreline with the backdrop of Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island. Don’t think we’ll be getting any snow (shame!) but whatever the weather holds in store for us I’m sure we’re going to have a fantastic time with Paula and Dan and their families and friends … what better way to round off the Christmas Holiday (and the final wedding of my 2012 season)?
Happy New Year everyone!
