Phone call from Venice
Today I’m sharing another image from Venice. In case you didn’t know, I visited that beautiful city again last year. Not on holiday, but on a wedding Masterclass. Not “just” a course with other photographers, but a chance to learn from one of the best. Yervant is an Australian photographer, consistently rated as one of the top 10 in the world. It was a great chance to work not just with Yervant but also to learn from the other photographers who attended. Sharing experience and ideas. Why, after over 20 years of photographing weddings, do I attend courses? Because wedding photography is constantly evolving. New ideas and styles develop. I owe it to my clients to deliver the very best that I can on their wedding day. My job is to take those elements of new techniques and blend them into my own style. Not copying someone else’s style, that wouldn’t work. But to adjust the style that my clients love by making small tweaks and adjustments along the way. It’s a constant leading process. That’s why photography’s so interesting.
Anyway, enough of the chatter, here’s the image ……
