Parents watching their daughter get married – Beach Weddings Bournemouth
As the South of England struggles with horrendous weather, here’s a touch of warmth and tenderness for your Friday morning. This week’s selection for “Image of the week” features a candid portrait of parents watching their daughter get married – Beach Weddings Bournemouth.
This candid photograph is from Tiffany and George’s lovely, relaxed ceremony with Beach Weddings Bournemouth. Tiffany and George were such a relaxed and laid back couple, totally at ease on their wedding day. Tiffany’s parents were an absolute delight to be with, and I have to admit her Father reminded me of Jon Pertwee, who once played Doctor Who. Luckily there were no Daleks or Cybermen present! Anyway, as the wedding ceremony progressed, I noticed that Mum and Dad had moved closer to one another. Whilst shooting the ceremony I kept an eye on them, mindful that there might be a photograph in the making. Then, as Mum leaned into Dad I had the shot. Weddings are about joy and happiness, but they’re also about sadness. Parents letting their children (no matter how young or old they are) move on and start their own lives. Memories of family life together. Anticipation of what lies ahead. Hopes (and fears). These are the emotions of the wedding day, and it’s the photographs that capture them.
