Just two weeks to go before the Bournemouth Air Festival, probably the premier free airshow in the UK! It’s a fantastic event that’s really grown over the last few years, and attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the Bournemouth seafront. Even if you’ve no real interest in planes, it’s well worth a visit to enjoy the spectacle. http://www.bournemouthair.co.uk/

Last year I decided to avoid the crowds and stood at the end of the runway to watch them take off, and the sound was tremendous (especially the Eurofighter!).

This year I’m photographing Jon and Esther’s wedding on the Saturday at Highcliffe Castle (just along the coast), so here’s hoping for an impromptu flypast by the Red Arrows – now what a photo that would make (especially as Esther’s a huge Arrows fan!).
