Merley House wedding photographer – Ami and Chris get married
Turning back the clock this week to last year, and Ami and Chris’ lovely wedding at Merley House near Wimborne for my “Image of the week“. I’d spent the first part of the morning with “the girls”, documenting the Bridal prep. Leaving them to their own devices, I made my way across Bournemouth to the outskirts of Wimborne and the wedding venue – Merley House. Merley House was originally a Georgian hunting lodge, although you’d be hard pushed these days to imagine that anything so large could just be a lodge!
Ami had asked her nephews to be page-boys for the day. They duly arrived (with Mum and Dad of course!) in plenty of time and, like children everywhere, were excited about the part they were going to play. Now, as we know, keeping children occupised can be difficult at the best of times! So you can imagine what they were like as time ticked by! I think this shot’s lovely, as it captures perfactly their excitment, straining to catch a glimpse through the window of who’s arriving next (steadied by Mum). You don’t need to see their faces for this photograph to work. The position, the body shape … it says it all perfectly.
Oh, did they perform brilliantly? Well, what do you think? Of course they did!
