Kerrie and Nick’s Studland wedding provided many options for the choice of “Image of the week” – but this is one of my favourites. A lovely couple, gorgeous sunny weather and a beautiful Saxon Church – what more could a wedding photographer ask for?
Last weekend saw me queuing up for the Sandbanks Ferry to make the short trip across to Studland. Luckily, the holidaymakers weren’t around, so I didn’t have to wait too long!
Kerrie and Nick got married at the beautiful Saxon church of St. Nicholas, on the Studland peninsula. Kerrie looked absolutely stunning in her dress, perfectly complemented by the lovely Bridesmaids.
Why did I choose this image? Well, there are several reasons …
Firstly, I absolutely LOVE the expression on Kerrie’s face as they sing the hymn. It’s such a warm, tender and natural smile and they’re making eye-contact.
Secondly, it’s the other little elements. The Best Man peering over Nick’s shoulder to see the words. Kerrie’s Father concentrating on the hymn. The Maid of Honour smiling to the right of Kerrie. One of the Bridesmaids, far right, with a quizzical look.
Sometimes you get a photograph that’s all about one particular element. Then you get shots like this which have other pieces of the jigsaw, or sub-plots as a writer would say. Put together, these make up one particular moment, captured in time for eternity.
