It’s been a while since I’ve posted due to various reasons, but I hope to be back “on track” soon. Lots of weddings to share with you!
In the meantime, this caught my eye this morning.
How to avoid expensive wedding photography by hiring professional wedding cameras
It’s been shared on a Facebook group for professional wedding photographers.
The ad is from an Australian company that reckons wedding guests can take the couple’s wedding photos if they have the right equipment, thereby saving the Bride and Groom money. No “expensive” wedding photographer!
Aside from the fact that the cameras they’re hiring out are just regular, consumer cameras, they’re misleading people.
A “good” camera can take a nice image, but the photographer’s got to “see” the shot and then capture it. On the wedding day, your professional’s there to do that – all day. Your guests, however, are just that – guests. They don’t want to “work”, they’re at your wedding to enjoy themselves (quite rightly). So it’s likely they’ll miss lots of shots. True, they may get some fun snaps, but the pictures won’t be a patch on those from the professional.
It’s true that wedding photography’s expensive, but there are reasons for that. Experience. Training. Skill. Commitment. Equipment.
