Hampshire country marquee wedding of Teoni and Bradly
One of the greatest joys of being a wedding photographer is that I get to photograph lovely people. Another is that I get to work in some lovely (and really varied) wedding venues. Today we’re looking back to the Hampshire country marquee wedding of Teoni and Bradly.
It was a trip out of Dorset and into the beautiful Hampshire countryside. The Summer sun was shining, the windows were down and the radio on. Out from Romsey and following the meandering River Test towards Andover. I have to say it wasn’t a bad start to the “day job”!
I started photographing their special day at the family home, shooting the Bridal prep. As I arrived in Andover it started raining, and just got heavier and heavier. By the time I finished at the house it sounded as though there was a monsoon outside. Not exactly encouraging as the wedding was being held in a marquee! Anyway, I needn’t have worried. By the time I’d made my way out into the countryside the clouds were breaking and giving me tantalising glimpses of blue sky.
Teoni and Bradly had their legal ceremony at the Registry Office the day before, so this was a celebration for family and friends. There was lots of bunting, Summer flowers and a very relaxed atmosphere – just what they’d wanted for their day.
I did manage to steal them away from the celebrations for a while. We walked down to the river for a few shots of them alone. The crystal clear waters of the rivers and streams in that part of Hampshire make for stunning locations for wedding photographs. Meanwhile the local ducks provided the perfect vocal accompaniment to the burbling of the the river.
It was a gorgeous day and an absolute delight to be a part of. Thank you Teoni and Bradly.
Kind words from Teoni and Bradly
“Thank you so much Ian of our wonderful pictures, you captured the day perfectly and now we have so many to choose from!! We cannot thank you enough, everything about our day was perfect for us and you kept us calm and organised so that we didn’t have to stress at all. Thank you!”
