Bournemouth wedding photographer – wedding fashion
This week’s selection for “Image of the week” isn’t from a wedding, but from a styled shoot that I recently did for the opening of Bournemouth’s newest wedding venue – Talbot Heath Weddings. For the first time this unique historical Bournemouth property opens its doors to weddings. Fully licensed for you to hold your wedding ceremony, in a number of locations around the school grounds including the Great Hall licensed for 249, Jubilee Hall Licensed for 60 or a more intimate ceremony in the Head’s Study, and shortly to be licensed, a unique intimate ceremony in the Air Raid Shelter for up to 30. Your reception can follow in the Great Hall or in a marquee set out in the beautiful grounds on Boarders Green. Your wedding will have the full planning support from the award winning team from Bellissimo Weddings. Anyway, here’s this week’s post – “Bournemouth wedding photographer – wedding fashion“.

We’d originally intended to do the majority of the shoot outdoors, themed along the lines of “Alice in Wonderland“, but unfortunately the weather conspired against us! Never deterred (well, you can’t be deterred by the weather if you’re a wedding photographer in the UK!) we went ahead with the shoot in the school. Now, I know I usually post images that reflect the emotion and and spontaneity of the wedding day, but there’s also a place for wedding fashion to feature in the photographs. After all, you’ll never be spending this amount of money on yourself for one day ever again, so why not make the most of it?
I appreciate that not all Brides would want to pose like a fashion model, and looking at some of the Bridal magazines you can see why! Poses that aren’t natural, bending into extreme positions … doesn’t work for everyone. However, some simple, elegant portraits of the Bride on her wedding day can really add an extra dimension to the wedding photography. Taken privately, away from the prying eyes of family and friends, they give the Bride a chance to showcase her dress, her bouquet and, of course, herself!
