Bournemouth wedding photographer – image of the week 29
A very Happy New Year to all – what a terrific year we had in 2013 (despite the awful weather at the end), and I’m really looking forward to what promises to be a fabulous 2014! I couldn’t resisit putting another image from Paula and Dan’s wedding at Cafe Shore up, especially as they’ve just celebrated their first anniversary. So here it is – “Bournemouth wedding photographer – image of the week 29“.
Paula and Dan’s beautiful daughter was the flowergirl at their ceremony, and behaved impeccably. No crying, no fuss – just perfect. When it was time to sign the Register she decided that she wanted to be with Mum and Dad, so Paula popped her up onto the table. As Dan was sihning the Register I caught this lovely image with a fabulous expression on the little one, and a smile from Mum!
These are the moments that bring wedding photography alive – capturing those fleeting expressions and moments of joy (and yes, sadness too it has to be said). Some people want formal, stylised photographs, but most of my couples are looking for images that reflect the day itself. This is where a professional wedding photographer comes into their own. Always on the lookout for things going on, anticipating what might happen next. There’s no problem with asking a friend to come along and take photographs, but can you be sure they’ll capture images like this? You invite friends along because they’re friends, not because they’re photographers. You want them to enjoy themselves, but they can’t do that if they’re taking photographs – you need to concentrate 100% on the job, not having a good time. A professional photographer is there to record your day, and isn’t that what you want as a memento of your very special day? So please, think again if you’re considering asking a friend to take your wedding photographs, and consider just what those images mean to you …. you’ll then realise it’s worth investing in a professional.
