It’s scary how quickly time moves along, and this year’s wedding season seems to have absolutely flown by! It doesn’t seem more than a couple of months since I photographed the first of this years’ couples and yet here we are, less than 7 weeks until Christmas. Hmmm, time for me to start putting the “wish list” together for Santa perhaps? Anyway, enough of the rambling, it’s time to choose a featured image and this week the spotlight’s on the lovely beach wedding of Rushmi and Dean. So, without further delay, here’s “Image of the week 21”.
Rushmi and Dean asked me to photograph their wedding with Beach Weddings Bournemouth as well as their Hindu ceremony in Norfolk, so I got to know them pretty well this year. They had a beautiful Summer’s Day for the beach, and after shooting the Bridal prep at her hotel I caught the girls arriving on the sand amidst admiring looks for onlooking holidaymakers. Rushmi looked absolutely stunning and I have to say that Dean looked quite dapper as well in his white suit. Both outfits totally complemented their style and character and fitted in beautifully with the idea of a beach wedding.
After their wedding breakfast I tool them away from the gaze of family and friends for a walk along the beach. This was really the first chance they’d had to be alone since the actual wedding ceremony and it gave the a chance to relax an unwind. As you can see from the photograph, they certainly did relax and had a great time as they splashed, barefoot, along the shoreline. This is what weddings are about – having fun, relaxing and enjoying your special day. These are the moments that make memories to treasure for years to come!
