A slight change to the publishing schedule this week, as we have an anniversary to celebrate on Friday – but you’ll have to wait for that one! Anyway, here’s this week’s submission for “Bournemouth wedding photographer – image of the week 14“.
This shot’s from the wedding last year of Niki and Duncan, held at a beautiful little church in Brockenhurst, in the heart of the New Forest. I was covering the Bridal preparations, along with my second shooter Anna, at Niki’s parents’ home in Lymington. After we’d done some formal images upstairs I brought Niki down into the hallway, where there was some beautiful light at the front door, for some more shots. The Bridesmaids were (of course) ready and gathered to watch what was going on, and as usual, there was quite a bit of banter between them all. I turned around to get a shot of the girls admiring Niki when her Father appeared. In my opinion, the image captures the fun and excitement of the Bridesmaids and also the anticipation (and perhaps a little sadness) of a Father who’ll shortly be handing over his Daughter – she’ll always be his little girl, but now she’s starting a life of her own.
The Bridal preparations are a great time for capturing candid images
