The Bournemouth Town Hall wedding of Stevie and Byron
It’s been so hectic recently with weddings and portrait shoots that I’ve not had the chance to share photographs, so what better for a Sunday than to start catching up on blogging some of my recent weddings!
Stevie and Byron are a lovely couple and it was a real privilege to be asked to photograph their wedding! We’d had an engagement shoot at Highcliffe Castle a few weeks before (you can see some of their images here on my Blog) and they’re great fun to be with – a very young couple, but so much in love, and it really shows!
The day started with the bridal prep in Blandford and all of the girls were really relaxed, which makes my life so much easier! We’d been keeping an eye on the weather, and around half-an-hour before we were due to leave the heavens open and there was a massive hailstorm – as I made my way back into Bournemouth the road was awash and I have to admit I feared the worse ….. but Bournemouth came through and when I arrived at the Town Hall the skies were blue and the sun was out (remember what the sun looks like?).
The ceremony was lovely, and Stevie shed a few tears – which is always great for the photographer if they can capture that moment! Then it was down to the Gardens for the formal family shots before the three of us hopped into Lulu, a beautiful 1960 split-screen VW camper from Dorset Dub Hire and headed for Boscombe beach ….. Stevie and Byron were really keen to get some shots down by the beach and as you can see the sun stayed out for us!
Then it was back to the Piccadilly Hotel for the reception.
I had a great time and everyone made me feel really welcome – thanks Stevie and Byron for letting me be a part of your special day! Stevie and Byron sent me a lovely text the next day just before they jetted off on their honeymoon, so I guess they were happy too! 🙂
“We had an amazing day & couldn’t have picked a better person to capture our special moments, so excited to see all the photos! Thank you again, Stevie & Byron x”
