A couple of weeks ago I was privileged to cover the beautiful wedding of Clare and Michael – the day started with sunshine and never let up!
I started with the girls’ preparations at Clare’s family home in Ferndown, whilst Greg (my second shooter) took care of the boys getting ready at the Hotel du Vin in Poole. Clare had chosen a beautiful dress from Suzanne Neville’s collection and her bridesmaids were in light blue. With a definite Scottish connection the boys were kilted up and ready for anything!
The service took place at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Bournemouth, and a vintage Rolls-Royce delivered Clare on time – which was pretty good bearing in mind the Summer traffic in Bournemouth! After a lovely ceremony it was on to the Italian Villa at Compton Acres, where the guests were able to mingle in the gardens.
Inside for some hilarious (and at times very emotional) speeches and a great wedding breakfast, followed by a few photographs outside in the last glow of evening and the cutting of the cake. Then it was downstairs for a (well rehearsed and very polished) First Dance, before the evening’s entertainment started in the form of a Caleigh …. and boy, was that fun!
It was a wonderful day, and thank you to Clare and Michael for letting me be a part of it 🙂
Here are just a few of my favourite images from the day …..
