One of my favourite BW wedding images in the Black and White Challenge Day 2
So, onto day 2 of this friendly little challenge going around Facebook between professional photographers. It’s to share a different BW image for each of 5 consecutive days. So thanks to my friend John Fox (who I met in Venice last year on the wedding workshop), here’s my submission for the Black and White Challenge Day 2.
This is one of my favourite images from Teoni and Bradly’s wedding last Summer. It was held in the beautiful Hampshire countryside near Andover.
Why have I chosen this image? Well, it’s totally spontaneous – nothing was planned or set up. During the morning it had absolutely hammered it down and I was worried we’d have a wet wedding. Luckily the skies broke and the rain turned to showers. Whilst we were waiting for Teoni to arrive, a light shower decided to pay us a visit. The girls, not wanting to get their hair or dresses wet, popped into one of the marquees. So did the Flower Girls and the Page Boy. This is the moment that the wedding car arrived – just love the expressions on the faces!
If you’d like to see some more of my work, pop over and take a look at my 2014 wedding photography highlights video.
So, stay tuned and watch out over the course of the next few days as I progress through the Black & White Challenge.
