Beach Weddings Bournemouth – Claire and Tom

Such a beautiful day at Beach Weddings Bournemouth

Today I’m delighted to be able to share with you Claire and Tom’s special day at Beach Weddings Bournemouth. As the beach wedding season approaches it’s nice to look back on one of last year’s beautiful days. Claire and Tom wanted a relaxed feel to their special day and that’s just what they achieved. Shooting weddings on the beach doesn’t always mean I get blue skies and sunshine, but their day stayed dry and that’s what mattered most.

Claire and the girls got ready up at the Marriott Hotel, which is, quite literally, a stone’s throw from the cliff top. With gorgeous views across Poole Bay, from the Isle of Wight to the Purbecks, it’s the ideal location for the Bridal preparations. What better way to wake up on the morning of your wedding and look out across the Bay, the sun glinting on the azure blue waters? We’re so lucky to have such a fabulous beach – it’s amazing for a wedding!

The Bridesmaids looked striking in their gorgeous blue dresses as they led the Bridal procession down the matting towards the marquee. Claire and her Father looked quite relaxed – well, as relaxed as you can be on your wedding day. No matter how relaxed you are in “normal” life, there’s always a touch of nerves on a wedding day. As the curtains were pulled back the marquee was filled with “aahs” as the three flower girls followed the Bridesmaids down the aisle, scattering petals. During the ceremony there were smiles and tears of joy in abundance.

After the drinks reception on the beach the guests made their way back into the marquee for the wedding breakfast, which looked stunning with floral displays from Arcade Flowers. The food, as always from Matt and his team at Fish Face, was delicious!

With some time alone on the beach Claire and Tom were able to take in what they’d just experienced. To talk about their feelings for each other.

For the evening celebrations the wedding party took a short trip in the cliff lift back up to the Marriott Hotel. A drinks reception outside (with a bouquet toss) and then into the evening reception for the First Dance and the start of the partying! Have to admit that a live band is my favourite entertainment, and these guys were just awesome!

Claire and Tom – you were fabulous and thanks for letting me be a small part of your special day! xx
