Three years ago today the sun didn’t shine. In fact, it was ‘orrible! Wet and windy, very. How do I remember? Because today is Caroline and Kevin’s third wedding anniversary. In the morning Caroline’s Mum phoned home to Manchester to chat to friends, who said “what a lovely day for Caroline’s wedding” – it was warm and sunny up there, but absolutely chucking it down on the beach. Never mind. Caroline and Kevin were determined to enjoy their day, and they did. The rain lashed against the side of marquee but the atmosphere inside was brilliant. No-one cared that it was raining. They were there to celebrate a special day, and they did! Caroline asked if she could have some photos outside. I pointed out that it was very wet. She said “I don’t care, it’s our wedding day and we’re determined to enjoy it!“. So I wrapped up the camera, put my coat on and out we went. The breakers were crashing onto the beach, the rain was coming down, but Caroline and Kevin sheltered under parasols and enjoyed every minute. That’s what weddings are about, savouring the moments. Not worrying about the weather and timings. Having fun!
Happy anniversary 🙂 xx
