That’s the interesting title of a recent article posted by Brides.com. In it, they explain why you have to put your trust in the professional vendors that you’ve hired for your wedding. Intriguing, but they’ve failed to include photographers in their list!
The article points out that on your wedding day, your goal should be to behave as guests of honour. You should not be the host and hostess of your event. In order to do that successfully, you have to put your trust in your vendors. Trust them to execute all the different elements of your ceremony and reception.
Let it go!
I know that there’s a temptation to want to keep tabs on everything that’s going on during your day. It’s especially difficult if you’re the type of person who likes to be in control of your life. I’ve even had Brides turn up on the day with multi-page Excel spreadsheets of responsibilities and timings for anyone who’s even remotely involved with their day!
But, you have to let go, and trust the people that you’ve hired. You should enjoy the day, not worry about whether this or that’s happening on schedule.
Trust your wedding vendors
If you’ve hired professionals, let them do what they do best. We know what we’re doing, we’ve been there hundreds of times before. Trust us to make your day happen.
Now I’m not saying that every wedding flows smoothly without a hitch, they don’t. But no wedding runs “exactly” to schedule.
Your vendors make it happen. We work with each other. We know what needs to be done and by when.
So just relax and enjoy the day for what is it is – a celebration of the love that you have for one another.
