Bournemouth wedding photographer – anniversary weekend
It would be nice to think that weddings are spread out evenly across the year, but we know that never happens! There are times when bookings come in for a particular period, and so it was last year when I had three weddings in 3 days. So, in a blitz of “Happy Anniversary” greetings, there are the three lovely couples whose weddings I had the privilege of shooting that long weekend in April 2013 …..
Danielle and Ben – wedding at Beach Weddings Bournemouth
The hectic weekend started with Danielle and Ben’s lovely wedding down on the sand with Melanie and her team from Beach Weddings Bournemouth. The day began with the Bridal prep for Danielle and her two gorgeous Bridesmaids at the Green House Hotel in Bournemouth, then a quick spin in the stunning VW camper “Isabella” from VW Splitscreen Weddings down to the beach! We had gorgeous weather and Danielle and Ben were such a fun couple to photograph 🙂
Sara and Alan – wedding at the Yenton Hotel in Bournemouth
I’ve known Sara for a few years and was delighted when she asked if photograph her wedding. She’d been a bridesmaid a couple of years previously at Esther’s wedding which I’d photographed at Highcliffe Castle in Dorset. Sara and Alan celebrated their special day at the Yenton Hotel in Bournemouth and had a beautiful ceremony in the garden. We did have a brief, but significant, shower during the actual ceremony, but as true Brits the brollies came out and everyone had a great time!
Caroline and Ross – wedding at Beach Weddings Bournemouth
By the third day I wasn’t quite in need of Red Bull to keep me going, but the adrenalin kicked in and it was back to the beach again. Ross had let me on a little secret regarding the wedding day …. he’d arranged for aerobatic display for the wedding party. Melanie from Beach Weddings Bournemouth and I were the only ones who knew about it, and we nervously watched the skies as the clouds built whilst the clocks ticked. Luckily, the weather held, and we were treated to a fabulous by the female pilot. Needless to say, Caroline was speechless 🙂
Three weddings, three days. Each totally different and so memorable in their own ways … that’s the joy of being a wedding photographer. To all of my lovely couples … thanks so much for letting me be a part of your special days – it was a real privilege. 🙂 xx
But that’s not all …….
Today is exactly two years since Kate and Frazer became the first couple to get married on the beach in the UK, with Beach Weddings Bournemouth. They also had to contend with a film crew on their wedding day, as it was broadcast live on ITV’s Daybreak programme. They’re a delightful couple, and they came back down to Bournemouth last year for the first anniversary and dropped (unannounced) into the Beach Weddings Bournemouth Open Day, which was a lovely surprise for Melanie and myself. Happy anniversary guys 🙂 xx
