Sitting here in the office on a very cold and wintery day, it’s nice to look back through last year’s weddings and pick out some of the highlights. Today we’re taking the time machine back to April for Lucy and Wayne’s celebration on the beach.
Beach Weddings Bournemouth – Spring wedding
It’s always great to get back to the beach for the first wedding of the season. To catch up with Melanie and her team, to get back onto the sand and listen to the waves lapping on the shore.
The marquee looked lovely in the Spring sunlight. Lucy and Wayne were certainly lucky with the weather – a beautiful calm sea, soft sunlight (with just a few light clouds around to keep the fussy photographer happy!) and no breeze. The stunning floral arch from Arcade Flowers featured lots of pastels and there was a lovely floral heart on the wall in the wedding hut.
As usual, I met Lucy and the girls up by the Marriott Hotel so that we could grab some shots in the cliff-lift. Lucy was so relaxed. Wayne on the other had was a bit nervous, but those initial nerves soon disappeared when he saw Lucy walking down the aisle and I’m sure I spotted him wiping away a small tear. Their ceremony was full of smiles and laughter and we came out of the marquee to be greeted by beautiful sunshine and a deserted beach – perfect for the formal photos.
After the wedding breakfast we nipped back out onto the beach for some shots of the happy couple and then Lucy decided that the Bridal party was going paddling! Great fun, and loads of laughter.
Thanks Lucy and Wayne for letting me be a part of your day – you were great fun to be with!
